Tuesdays: Witching Hour Poetry Nights

If I must die
believe me
All those murderous things
I was only looking
for ways
to tell you
I was lonely

Actresses Who Could Play Me in a Movie, 3rd Installment

Okay, so up to this point my blog has simply been me posting pictures of attractive women. I don't think that's a bad thing, so I'm going to do it again. I have plenty more to say and will do so, but for this week let's just feast our eyes on this:

Actresses Who Could Play Me in a Movie, First Installment

Jennifer Lopez

Some might think JLo a bit old for the job, since it keeps getting spread around that I look "like a woman in her 20s," but you must consider the eyes. Having been around for let's say, quite a while (a lady never divulges her real age of course), I have met many beings of various ages. Amongst humans, there is a huge difference between the eyes of the old and the young, with some rare exceptions.

Experience gives the eyes all kinds of facets that just aren't there in youth. So, to have a very young actress play me would be hard to make believable due to the fact she just hasn't lived enough to give her eyes the depth needed. Living through tragedy, knowing real pain, or real ecstasy, seeing death, having your own opinions form and change and break and re-form again...these are things that show in the eyes. The other option is to go with an "old soul" actress, one who feels or as lived more than normal for her chronological age.

Next time you look at yourself in the mirror, try to be honest about what you see in there. Likely you're an inexperienced and somewhat arrogant youth, or perhaps a jaded and dry old codger. That's all right, I like my fans any way they come. So remember, while the body is titillating and entertaining and all that, it's very true that "the eyes have it." Here are some photographs of Ms. Lopez, from various times during her career. What do you think? Could she make a good me?
